I finally tried this wonderful restaurant and wish I had been long before. Definitely on the top of my list for Nola restaurants. Everything was cooked to perfection: the octopus, chargrilled mussels, squid ink shrimp pasta, oh and do NOT forget the bread service. The Aleppo honey butter might be the best thing I’ve ever had. The cocktail menu, presentation, and phenomenal flavor profile in each drink gets 5 stars. Some of the best cocktails in Nola.

Got to fine here my last night in NOLA- did not disappoint!! Environment: medium to small sized restaurant. More intimate setting. Great place for a date night. Amazing decor that’s well thought out. Well stocked bar. Service: wonderful! Our server was very helpful in making recommendations and was very friendly. Our server, and other servers, were quick to clear plates out of our way. Food came out in a timely manner. Food: AMAZING!! I got the squid ink pasta and Lordy, this was the best thing I ate during my visit to NOLA. The sauteed mushrooms were just as delish. Grilled octopus was also yummy and cooked to perfection. Our table also got an order of the fries, which are a must try here. Everything was delicious. I was only upset about the serving sizes- I was still hungry after my meal. I just understand this type of restaurant values quality over quantity, so I’m not expecting a bigger serving necessarily for the same price. But a heads up from the server would’ve been ideal. My dad and his wife ordered the grilled octopus and it was more like an appetizer than an entree. We would’ve ordered more had we known, but had to get up early for our flight the next day so left it at that. Drinks: we didn’t try any adult beverages, but they had an extensive menu and a throughly stocked bar, so I’m willing to bet the drinks are just as good as the food. Highly recommend coming here.

Not sure what to start with, so I will go in order of the things I noticed. The decor was elegant, stylish and cheeky. We tried several negroni, and each one was unique and delicious. I appreciated the nod to the waxing place next door. We were with a group of six and tried lots of things. The mushrooms and squid were a lovely surprise, I now like baked mussels more than baked oysters, and the carbonara.... What!!! Finish it off with whatever came in that tub of dessert ;)

Delicious seafood! We had the scallop risotto, grilled octopus ,ceviche, and mushrooms, all of which were great. The cocktails were creative and strong, and the decor was nautically fun.

Love the vibe, the service and the people behind the bar. Wonderful oysters and great creative cocktail menu. We shared the special snapper with a couple of sides as well as their homemade bread which was unbelievably delicious.

Must try!! We had the most delicious dinner at Pigeon and Whale. We were sitting at the bar, which is my favorite. It was fun watching them shucking the oysters. We ordered the swordfish schnitzel and scallops. Both were amazing. Their cocktails were also lovely. Great service. We had a fun date night but it would be a great place to bring guests or get together with friends as well!

We absolutely loved our experience. The atmosphere feels like your in a swanky cruise ship, and the sea-themed details are perfect. From the mermaid tile, the bird wallpaper and squid toilet paper dispenser in the bathroom, to the menu names and food vessels, this concept was so well thought out. The food was amazing! We loved everything! We got the chargrilled mussels, the swordfish schnitzel, and the parmesan redfish. Then we couldn't pass on the lemon cheesecake dessert, which might have been one of the coolest things I've ever seen. Looked JUST like a lemon, on a bed of graham crackers! Add this place to your list!

Had a great time last night!! Tried the Shuckers Choice oysters. Perfect way to explore their diverse oyster menu. And the Grilled Octopus should not be skipped. Also had some delicious cocktails. Fantastic service from our bartender and oyster shucker. They gave great recommendations and were so welcoming!!
